Can you believe it is that time of year again?  On Oct. 27th, the annual Nyack Halloween Parade will once again take place on Main St. and South Broadway.  The parade takes place from 5:30.7:30.  This year expects to be as exciting and as well attended as years past, an estimated 20,000 people expected.  The day events will begin at 3pm with live music and vendors in the village parking lot on Main St.  There will be 5 marching bands from Rockland, Theresa Shorn's "Festival of Ghouls", and 15 ' tall puppets from Amazing Grace Circus performers, along with the Hudson Vagabond Puppets.  Of course, you will be dazzled by the marcher's costumes and floats.  Marchers can register for costume contest, best group and best float contest, where a $1000 top award will be given after the parade.  Then make sure you continue the day by ending up at the Nyack Center, diagonal from my office on South Broadway.  The Nyack Center will be hosting its "Monster Mash" party, where there will also be live music and of course food.  For more info on this annual event, please check out the Nyack's Chamber of Commerce website, www.nyack-chamber.org.  If it does rain, the event will be held on Oct. 28th.  Hope to see you there, I know  you won't be disappointed!
