Nyack Exit from Thruway

I've been reading with great interest, over the past few months, about the proposed changes to the current Exit 11 from the Southbound lanes of the NYS Thruway. The proposals vary from completely eliminating it - routing all of the traffic bound for Nyack, Piermont, Central Nyack, and other venues along the river, through the Palisades Center (now, won't THAT be fun?) to leaving it in its current configuration, creating a traffic snarl during the rush hours. Well, NYSDOT is finally going to give a presentation on the proposed modifications and it is probably a great idea for all of us to attend. The presentation will be Wednesday, June 22nd at 6PM at the Rockland Community Outreach Center at 203 Main Street in Nyack. This particular presentation promises to be "Standing Room Only" because of the interest and, possibly severe, impact this can have on our area of the Hudson Valley. I look forward to hearing what the NYSDOT and my fellow residents of the Nyacks have to say. Hope to see you all there!
