Nyack Does Not Export Potholes To Canada

I am just back from my annual Easter pilgrimage from Valley Cottage to Montreal, just a short drive away. As always I walked the cobblestone streets of the old city and was reminded of quaint French villages I have visited. I savored luscious seafood delicacies not often found in the lower 48 like sturgeon and razor clams. I was moved by Inuit art and furs on display there. Most of these are not legal in America, and really, how many people ever get to hold a narwhale tusk? The museums, Bio-dome, insectarium, botanical gardens, and open markets never cease to amaze. I sat through Easter Mass in the spectacular Notre Dame Basilica. I did not understand a word of the French mass, but was certainly able to appreciate the pageantry and deep meaning attached to the ceremony.

The one thing I did not encounter on my trip was a pothole. How is it Quebec is recovering from their worst winter on record yet Nyack retains all the street craters? Image title
