Nyack Appoints New Superintendent

Dr. James Montesano, the newly selected superintendent of Nyack Public Schools will be formally introduced. A welcome reception will be hosted by Nyack’s Board of Education on Thursday, April 7 from 6-8p at Upper Nyack Elementary School. Montesano has been the Superintendent of Paramus Public Schools in Bergen County for three years and had previously served as the school district’s CEO in Dumont, NJ. Dr Montesano is also an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers in the Department of Educational Policy, Theory and Administration. After much hard work and outreach the Nyack School Board was able to narrow the candidates and come to a final decision. I am sure there was much soul searching and debate in order to pick the best person to lead the district in its quest for excellence. Upper Nyack Elementary School is located at School at 336 North Broadway in Upper Nyack...Be there...
