On Monday night the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet performed a holiday concert in Nyack. The concert took place at Temple Beth Torah in Upper Nyack to what appeared to be a standing room only crowd. It was an incredible treat for me and my husband to be able to hear world class musicians in virtually our own back yard.  The program consisted of several beautifully arranged classics, and standard Christmas and Chanukah songs. Thunderous applause and standing ovations were numerous as the audience was truly in awe of the incredible arrangements and the superior quality of music. The venue and the acoustics were wonderful as well.
The event was sponsored by Arts Rock. This is an annual event, so keep it in mind for next year. I know that I'll be there and will be spreading the word to anyone and everyone who wants to take advantage of a joyous evening of fun, music, and holiday cheer.
