New Years Eve in Nyack

I've never been a big New Year's Eve celebrator - my personal philosophy is that every evening is the night before another chance to "do it over" and make it better. I also never understood the need to go out, spend too much money for mass-produced food, drink too much, and stay up far too late. Call me the "Scrooge" of New Year's Eve.

But, what I do enjoy about the holiday is the chance to meet up with old friends, reflect on the past year and create ideas for making the coming year even better.

So, this year I will spend part of New Year's Eve in Congers, part of it in Nyack, and part of it in Central Nyack - assuming I can stay awake long enough to make it to all the locations where I have been invited. One hostess has already provided me with my official 2013 glasses for the celebration. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I plan to be sound asleep at the moment when we trade in 2012 for 2013!

My wish for everyone is a safe, healthy, happy, and prosperous 2013. Enjoy the New Year's Eve celebrations and gatherings!
