New Old Library Rises In Historic Tappan

    The addition to and renovation of the Tappan Library goes on apace.  After raising the stable on the right, a new structure was built  connecting it to the existing library on the left.  The connector will also become the new entrance.  (For a before picture, go to my blog, "A Stable Gets Raised In Historic Tappan). Since the interior of the original building will also be substantially reconfigured, completion of the entire project is still thought to be at least a year off.  And now the hard part begins: choosing the carpet patterns.  I won't say there have been fist fights, but...
