Many New Polling Places In Rockland For Election2013

It’s obvious by the number of campaign signs, ads, emails, and chatter that we have a very important election in Rockland County this Tuesday, November 5, but is it obvious that many of our polling sites have changed?  Last May, the Board of Elections commissioners made a decision to close or consolidate a number of polling sites in our county to comply with the American Disabilities Act and to assure more security in our schools which are often a place to vote.
To quote the Nanuet Patch from May 8, 2013,”In Clarkstown, 12 locations are being closed and five new sites have been added. In Orangetown, five sites are being closed and two new locations will be used. Ramapo voters will see seven closures and six replacement sites. No changes are being made in Stony Point or Haverstraw.”
This election has a lot riding on it from Nyack to Suffern, from Palisades to Stony Point, and it would be a shame if you wanted to vote, but you showed up at the wrong place.

Here are a few links that will be helpful to you as you fulfill your civic duty.

Exercise your right to VOTE!  It does matter! Your vote counts!
