This has been the week of high-end properties. Nyack, Piermont and the nearby area had seven new properties hit the market this week—and of the seven, five were above $1,100,000. In fact, the average price of these listings is $1,161,128. And if you remove a lower-priced ($250,000) condo at Lawrence Park in Piermont, that average shoots up to $1,312,983. These new listings included a young custom built home on Sugarhill Road in Nyack, two contemporary homes on Tweed Boulevard in Upper Grandview, an 1897 Arts and Crafts home on Route 9W in Piermont, and a riverview townhouse on the Landing in Piermont. The area also saw three properties go under contract, including a starter home on Horne Took in Palisades, a converted garage in Piermont and a condo at Mountainview in Valley Cottage. Also, some more good news: there were five closings (title transfers) this week, including a split-level on Spring Road in Valley Cottage , a bi-level Ravenswoods in West Nyack, a condo in Piermont, a co-op at the Ivanhoe in Nyack and some land for new construction in Palisades.
