Good afternoon everybody! How are you today? I just wanted to let everybody know of another great even, this Saturday June 4th throughout the entire day, the North Rockland Rowing Club will be hosting its second annual Learn to Row Day at the Harbors at Haverstraw Marina otherwise known as Admiral's Cove. The marina is located on Dr. Girling drive in the Village of Haverstraw right next to the sales office for the Harbors at Haverstraw or as most people know it as the ferry parking lot. Each year, the North Rockland Rowing Club hosts Learn to Row Day to expose more New Yorkers and Rocklanders to the sport of rowing or crew. Refine your technique on a rowing machine and/or get in a boat to learn the basics. The Club will take you out on the Hudson River to experience rowing firsthand! Don’t worry, they take numerous safety precautions when introducing beginners to the sport. This is a great event for families and children, as well as adults that are looking for new ways to stay fit. I did this last year and it was a blast, I highly recommend getting out on the Hudson River, its a great family experience or one to enjoy by yourself, see you there.
