I know. I know! It happens to all of us at some time or another! Time passes as it usually does and then, all of a sudden, it speeds up like a race car being driven by a maniac at the Indy 500. And here it is, staring us in the face without a single blink! So, without further ado...

  • Ned Kelly and Company in Piermont, NY for wonderful gifts and beautiful, beautiful flowers. Believe me- a little posie or nose-gay goes a long way.

  • Abigail Rose and Lily Too in Piermont, NY for the most lovely clothing and accessories. I do believe that Bonnie Chapin, proprietress, will be having home-made cookies and tea for refreshments tomorrow on Valentine's Day. And...10% off on almost everything else as well! Gift certificates are available too.

  • Gina Lisa in Nyack, NY for luscious lingerie and a fine little shop named Lory Bird for a variety of gifts which will easily please.

  • The Chocolatier in Nyack, NY for the most delicious treats to tempt everyone on your love- or even like- list!

  • Back to Piermont, N.Y. to the Tappan Zee Thrift Shop for charming perhaps unusual, perhaps perfect gifts which will certainly fit into anyone's budget and they give gift certificates also.

  • Consider the Outside In in Piermont for beautiful handmade art items - they have darling little love bowls!

  • Let's not forget some of the best restaurants which abound in this area. The Freelance in Piermont, N.Y might be your fancy. And there is Xaviers in Piermont too. It is quite an experience! The Sidewalk Bistro in Piermont has fine food and a relaxed atmosphere. Gorgeous food and desserts are to be had at Alain's in Central Nyack. If you are in a mood for Middle Eastern food, I would advise you to hurry to the Art CafĂ© next door to the Nyack Library. Don't forget Peter Kelly's Restaurant X in Congers and X2O on the Hudson in Yonkers. To put some sparkle in your evening,  try out the newest hot spot - Joe Printz's Bar D'Vine in Sparkill , N.Y.  Also the Red Hat in Tarrytown!

I think I have given all of you "late lookers" some good suggestions for ways to charm and show your loved one(s) how much you adore them. Now - go out there and have fun!
