Want a quick get away? One where you feel nature all around you complete with a waterfall? Then head on over to Kennedy Dells Park in New City. This hiking park offers serene hiking paths with several path options. The outer loop is about 2.4 miles, where you walk along the Crum Creek and hear the whooshing of the waterfall. It is hard to believe that you can be in this beautiful forest right in New City, and watch out, you may have to share your hike with some deer. I love to walk the path, looking up at the canopy of trees, and hearing the birds chirp. This is a great place to get your exercise or walk your dog, on a leash of course. The loop also includes a fitness trail, where there are stations for different exercises to make your hike a bit more challenging . If you are interested, you can check out this website, for a map of the paths. Go and enjoy, you won't be disappointed!
