Is your kitchen looking old, tired, dated (maybe even a little grimy)? There are so many inexpensive ways to spruce up your cooking and dining space! You can start by giving the walls a fresh coat of paint. Choose a cheery color that compliments your cabinets and tile work. While you're at it, maybe paint the baseboards too. Replacing handles also gives the cabinets an updated look. Depending on the size of your counter top and the material you choose, you may be able to replace it for a reasonable price. Oh, speaking of countertops, take all the "stuff" off of them! It looks so much bigger and more clean--de-clutter! Put down some new throw rugs...get some new dishtowels in HomeGoods! Hang a new picture on the wall. You can freshen the look of your sink by replacing the faucet.....if you have more money to spend, shop around for new appliances....You may want to consider scratch and dent, floor samples, etc....and make sure you compare prices...most stores will compete for your business and meet a competitor's lower price. So, my point is, maybe your kitchen isn't hopeless....sometimes you don't have to spend a ton of money to make it look a little better!!
