Hudson Valley Apple Picking

Fall has always been my favorite season. There's something about warm days, cool nights, turning off the air conditioner, and the crispness in the air. Add in the fact that the apples are ready for picking and cooking/baking/eating and it's just about perfect!

I have found a pretty comprehensive list of apple farms where one can go and pick their own apples. I always end up with too many, but they last a long time, make great pies, cakes, sauces, and are pretty fine to just eat as they are. Anyway, we have 2 location in Rockland: Congers and Pomona. But, why not make a day trip of it and go check out some of the other orchards on the list. Enjoy the scenery as well as the fruits of your labors (pun intended!)

Enjoy! title
