Holidays and Dogs in Nyack

Holidays are tough on dogs. Take my 2 labs, for instance. Normally, trees in Nyack are outside and are meant to be a target for certain activities. But in December, there is one in the house and it is NOT to be approached by the dogs under any circumstances!!

There are lovely scents wafting from the kitchen, but none of these scents are involved with food that is meant for the dogs. We take walks through the streets of Nyack and people are eating things or carrying packages that look and smell so appealing, but which will get the dogs in big trouble if they get too close.

Yes, it is the most wonderful time of the year, but those of us who have fur-kids need to keep a combination of a sense of humor and a handful of treats close by in order to deal with their confusion and their antics.  What special efforts do you make during the holidays to keep your dogs out of trouble?
