I have been to Puerto Rico in the past and was so sad to hear how devastating Hurricane Maria has been to this beautiful "Enchanted Island".

We are all trying to figure out ways to help. There are several fundraisers happening now in Rockland, among them:

1. http://clarkstown.dailyvoice.com/neighbors/all-day-fundraiser-for-puerto-rico-mexico-will-be-held-in-rockland/722919/

2. Rockland County Fire Training Center at 35 Fireman's Memorial Drive, Pomona, NY 10970 through Sunday, October 1st, 12-8 pm.

It is also important to make your voices heard and contact your Congressmen today and ask what is our government doing for the people of Puerto Rico today, and/or donate what you can to the reputable United Way/Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico!
