Greengate Market in New City

For the last 10 years or so, the farm stand at the bottom of Red Hill Rd. in New City has had more owners than I can count.  For the past few years, they have been pretty consistent offering a nice variety of produce and your basic groceries, like bread and milk.  In the past year, they have added a deli counter, where you can purchase Boar's Head cold cuts at a reasonable price along with fresh rolls.  The newest owners, Greengate Market is the best yet.  The produce is always fresh, they have packaged  pre-cut veggies if that is what you are looking for to make dinner a little easier, or you can purchase an entire head of lettuce.  What ever works for you.  The fruit to is always fresh, and you can find strawberries and blueberries year round.  The store is clean, and the people who work there  are very nice.  I love just running in to grab a veggie for dinner, along with a gallon of milk.  I usually run into a neighbor, and we always feel thankful to have our farm stand back.  Stop by Greengate Market at 241 S. Little Tor Rd., New City, NY, and let me know what you think.
