Great Dining Experience in Tappan

Last Saturday night, my husband and I went out to dinner with several couples at The '76 House, in Tappan, NY.  What an absolutely wonderful evening!  From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a great night.  I had checked out the menu on line prior to getting there, just to get an idea of what I may want.  The menu is so extensive, and so unique, that I am glad I had the extra time to figure out what my entree would be.  We started out with Alligator Emanada, yes you read that right, alligator.  Of course, I didn't order that.  It was put in front of me, so I ate it, and so glad I did.  Unbelievable! That was followed by an Asian Salad, and  I ended up ordering the Six Mushroom Creamy Risotto.  Who wants to make risotto at home? Another fine choice.  Just as dessert was being served, we were treated to live entertainment.  Ellen Kaye, vocalist and Ethan Fine on the guitar, was the perfect ending to a perfect night.  Thank you Chef Doug Mulholland for an unbelievable dining experience.  Can't wait to go to The '76 House in Tappan again!!
