Garage Sales are Green

I am feeling my flower-child roots lately. So another tip, I love garage sales. This time of year throughout Rockland County from Montebello to Tomkins Cove, from Palisades to Congers you will find garage sales. Yes, most indeed is Junk. But think of it this way. There are somethings you can probably use and as a result you will not land them in a garbage dump. I myself have found that my glasses and plates are literally at their breaking point this year. Rather then head to Target in Nanuet or to the Mall in West Nyack I am going to do what Jamie Oliver, yes the guy from the food revolution show who happend to be one of the greatest young chefs in London, did. I am going to collect a hodgepodge of dishes and glasses from garage sales. I know it won't look like the perfect table when it is set. But I like the funky feel of all the different colours and forms you can find on a table.
