I don't know about you, but the mere thought of being in a corn maze gives me an anxiety attack! But, for those who are interested, there are a couple mazes within an hour drive of Nyack. They are:
From Me To You 2015
Dated: December 31 2014
I hope that 2015 will be a kinder, more gentle year than 2014 has been for many people. There has been financial hardship and severe emotional distress all around the world. Turmoil and Tsunamis, catastrophic natural and un-natural events- Wars and wee little ones killed- tragedies indeed- terrible and unimaginable and wretched-yes. And somehow, sometimes, these terrible times and circumstances do bring out the best in concerned people. I have found out that people really do want to help each other if they are able to, in whatever fashion they can.
I think that we must give each other true respect and the willingness to really and thoughtfully listen to each other, to really listen- and to really engage in meaningful dialogue and inter/intra personal conversations. We must desire the pleasure of creatively and incessantly bargaining and brainstorming our way out of this mess of inequality, poverty and strife we have caused in our world and we must try to heal our dreadfully damaged world together. If we can attempt this with serious and profound dedication, if we can think outside of the box, we just might have a slim chance for the survival of all of the species (at least the ones that are left) and the very survival of this, our planet.
If we listen to and take heed of our world reknown Scientists, Geologists, Doctors and the Global Warming Scientific community- IT IS NOT TOO LATE!. We just need to keep 80% of the world's fossil fuels under ground and under ocean where they exist and belong intact, to ensure that we do not create that 2% rise which will most certainly occur if we do not start practicing conservation and put into place strict conservation measures which will protect the fragile resources we have left- like Oxygen and Water! And we must absolutely unequivically invest in clean, green infrastructure and grow a truly green economy with alternative energy at it's source.
I also believe that if we practice little acts of kindness towards each other, those acts of kindness build up one on the other and eventually create enormous resevoirs upon which to draw in times of great need. I believe that these little acts of kindness and generosity, these expressions of concern and goodwill grow exponentially and so on and so forth. So... you see that there is hope in the New Year for Better Health, Healthier Wealth and Happier Happiness for all if we only work at it! Let's pull together.
Growing up in Rockland County and being a 3rd generation realtor, it was important for me to continue the "Coyle & Coyle" family tradition of real estate. I understand the importance of professionali....
