With this being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Breast Centers at Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital (Suffern), in conjunction with Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley. are offering free mammograms and PAP tests to under-insured or uninsured women over the age of 40. Good Samaritan is providing the services October 19th from 8AM until 5PM and Nyack Hospital is scheduling appointments for Saturday, October 22 between 8AM and 3PM.

I have several friends who have survived breast cancer because they caught it early. I also know others whose outcomes were not as good because they avoided or ignored opportunities to get checked out.

If you don't have insurance or your insurance doesn't cover mammograms &/or you haven't had a mammogram in recent memory, please contact the Cancer Services Program at 855-277-4482 or call the hospitals (368-5000 for Good Sam and 348-2000 for Nyack Hospital) or walk-in on the appointed days.

To your health!!
