Farmers Almanac Predicts Cold Wet Winter for Nyack

I know I just wrote about summer coming to an end, but today I received the forecast from the Farmer's Almanac about the coming winter.  Now I wish summer wasn't coming to an end!

I grew up on farms and my Grandparents lived by the Farmer's Almanac.  So, I registered and get emails and online updates from the company. Today the forecast for the 2012/2013 winter came in.

Remember that nice, quiet, warmer-than-usual, less snow than usual winter we had last year?  Farmer's Almanac predicted it would be that way. Well, they have changed their tune for the upcoming winter and are predicting colder and wetter than usual.  That did not make my day particularly happy!

But, like it or not, we cannot control the weather.  We can only be prepared to deal with whatever gets sent our way and "forewarned is forearmed". So, get ready for some quality "indoor time" this winter, for it looks like it will provide the opportunity for lots of it!
