It was made official today - Rockland County is getting a Fairway Market!  It will be one of the anchor stores at the "new" mall: The Shops at Nanuet.

With opening scheduled for the fall of 2013, coincident with the opening of the rest of the project, the market will be have 66,000 square foot of space.

Fairway Market is a 79-year old brand in specialty food retailing. Its stores stock an assortment of organic and traditional produce & groceries, kosher foods, and fresh meat & fish. They also have a full-service catering department, on-site bakery, roast their own coffee on site and have over 600 varieties of cheese and 100 varieties of olive oil. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

There are currently 9 Fairway Markets in the tri-state area, but this one will be the first in Rockland.  I, for one, cannot wait!
