I always end up the year weighing too much, and every year, I start with a diet to lose the holiday pounds.  Usually, I lose weight, and then gain it back by the end of the year.  This year, I tried something different.  I'm a member of the Diplomat Gym on 9W in Piermont, and have been for many years.  About six weeks ago, I sat down with the owner, Bruce Woolley, and we talked about what to do.  I've been in a training rut for some time, and to alter this he added more exercises to my routine, increased my weights, and lengthened my cardio training.  So far, I've lost eight pounds, and I'm ending the year at my lowest weight of the year instead of the highest.  Ho, ho, ho!
