Just in time for Spring, Didier Dumas announced today his store will re-open on Thursday, March 12th. Didier Dumas is the premiere French bakery in the Nyack/Piermont area offering a true French experience. One of my favorites are his crepes. They remind me of the crepes I ate at Cafe Briezh in the Marais district of Paris. I love the ham and raclette buckwheat crepe perfectly folded into a rectangle served with a delicious side salad. And my children love the banana and nutella crepe. Watching the staff ladle on the batter and smooth it out to a round circle -- then fill it with fresh ingredients and fold it up in a nice package. It's actually an art form. But we've gone long enough without fresh croissants of all kinds: plain, chocolate, almond. The macarons are reminiscent of the Parisian Laduree macarons that I enjoyed visiting a very good friend who had moved to Paris for a few years. And I miss the tuna nicoise sandwich and their fresh soups too. If you have not visited Didier Dumas yet, this bakery is not to be missed. Welcome back, Didier! Can't wait to come in on Thursday! Didier Dumas is located at 163 Main St, Nyack, NY.
