Congers Lake Memorial Park Trail

Being a Clarkstown residence, I have heard people talk about Congers Lake Memorial  Park and the walking trail.  Well I am embarrassed to say, I finally went there for the first time yesterday.  What a wonderful surprise, and now I know why so many people have been raving about it.  The full loop around Congers Lake is 2.7 miles.  The trail is paved and level, you can either walk it or bike it. Some of the trail is in the shade, but much of the trail is in the sun, with planked walkways going over the water.  I saw some beautiful birds I have never seen before, and lots of families of turtles.  A very serene, well maintained place to go for a walk!  The park is located at 6 Gilchrest Rd, Congers NY.Image title
