Congers Elementary School BOE Meeting

Whether your are a parent of a Congers Elementary student or not, you should attend this meeting. Thurs., Sept. 12, 8pm at the Board of Education, 62 Old Middletown Rd., New City.  What is happening to the families of Congers Elementary impacts us all, not just the Lakewood, Laurel Plains or Lakewood Elementaries, but all. Of course, these families are the ones who are truly  being hurt.  Can you imagine the anxiety these children faced on the first day of school. With little time for the parents to prepare these children about their new school, they were quickly relocated to another elementary school, perhaps without their best friends.  From what I understand, there is a very good chance that Congers Elementary School will go through a re-zoning.  This will impact all of the elementary schools in Clarkstown.  The rumor mill is running out of control, that is why it is vital to attend the meeting.  Be in the know, and let your concerns be heard.  For all of our children.
