David Temple, the acclaimed classical guitarist, will return to Christ Episcopal Church in Sparkill for an encore engagement.  The concert will be held on Saturday, November 2, at 7:30 PM, and there will be a reception following, where judging from past receptions, there will be ample food and beverages.  The works scheduled to be performed span the spectrum of Western guitar music, from the Renaissance to the 20th century.   I'm looking forward to a Renaissance piece entitled, "Vague beauties with blonde braids of gold."  I'm not familiar with it, but it sounds great.  Christ Church is located at the corner of Union and Valentine Streets, and parking in the church lot is accessed off of New Street.
