It was a great day last Saturday at Clarkstown South High School.  The girl's varsity soccer team had 3 community service projects all come together to make it not only a successful day on the field, but off it as well.  The girls participated in a "Cleat Donation" project, where they collected cleats the previous 2 weekends at Felix Festa Middle School in West Nyack, during the rec games. They collected about 140 cleats and 30 soccer balls. People to People in Nanuet will be the beneficiary of this event.  The team also participated in the DIGDEEP Walk 4 Water fundraiser.  Through sponsors, they raised $500 for this event.  To end out the fundraising efforts on  Saturday, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, they had a Pink Game.  It was a beautiful day to watch a soccer game and a great day to support this wonderful cause.  Raffles were sold prior to the game and during half time.  You could win a goody bag that had gift certificates to local eateries and even a raffle for a 6 month membership to Vision Sports Club in Pearl River.  Almost $1000 was raised from this event!!! Congratulations to the Clarkstown South Girls Varisty Soccer Team for a hugely successful day.
