Clarkstown South High School Jr Ball

This year, Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack, tried something different with the Jr. Ball.  Last year there were some problems during the dance and after the dance.  In an effort to keep the dance the focus of the evening, and not the after party, the Jr. Ball was changed to a Wednesday night and held off of the school premises.  Usually the dance is held in the lobby of South, this year it was held at the Pearl River Hilton.  From what I understand, this was not a popular change, the students were not happy with the thought of having to attend school the next day, even though they were allowed to come to school late.  For those students who did make it to school on time, a breakfast that was held for them.  The reviews are in, and it seems that the Jr. Ball was a huge success.  I hear that the DJ was great, they loved being at the Pearl River Hilton, and they danced the night away.  They were home by 11pm, so that wasn't' too late.  The only complaint I heard was that some of the girls feet  hurt from dancing so much.  I would say that is a success.  Good job Clarkstown South High School!
