Clarkstown Central School District Earns Annual AP District Honor Roll

Great job, great news!  Despite all the various recent controversy and ongoing planning issues in the news, let us not forget that the Clarkstown Central School district prevails!  We have earned a place on the fourth Annual AP District Honor Roll!   According to the College Board, “Reaching these goals indicates that these districts are successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are likely to benefit from rigorous AP course work.” Way to go! Back in September, New York State named 12 Reward Schools in Rockland County.  Six Clarkstown Central School District schools were on the list, including Clarkstown North and South High Schools, Felix Festa Middle School, Strawtown, Laurel Plains and Link  Elementary Schools.  From what I understand, the Reward Schools are selected for their progress from past years or for having the highest levels of achievement in the state without significant gaps in student accomplishments.  You can't deny that this is a great district to attend!

Oh and by the way, Commissioner King and Mr. Duncan-- we achieved all these great awards and accomplishments WITHOUT THE COMMON CORE!  Just sayin...
