New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1 will be holding an Open House this Sunday 4/24/16 from 9a.-3pm. The firehouse is located at 15 Maple Ave., New City.  If you or someone you know is interested in learning how to join the fire department, this would be a great opportunity to find out what it takes to be a volunteer firefighter. The Open House is a part of FASNY "RecruitNY" program, which is a statewide program hoping to recruit new members.  There are a few things to keep in mind pertaining to age and residency, so you may want to check out their website at  www.newcityfire.org for all the details. Thank you in advance of your service, if you choose to volunteer to protect our community!
