There is nothing that can bring more joy to a child than to receive that special gift during the Holidays.  People To People of Rockland County provides a wonderful opportunity for gift giving and receiving once again this year through its adopt-a-family program called Project Joy.   Last year, more than 600 families enjoyed a more joyful Holiday due to the efforts of many local residents, organizations, and corporations.  This year, we are given the opportunity to “adopt-a-family” and provide a warmer holiday to those in need by fulfilling their wish lists and putting that something special under the tree.  Here’s how you can participate.  Visit the People To People office at 212 West Nyack Road (near Cablevision) in Nanuet before December 4.  There you will pick out a letter from a family, purchase gifts on the wish list, wrap them, and return them to the People To People office between December 6-8.  Office hours at People to People are as follows: • Monday-Friday: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm • Thursdays until 6:30 pm For more opportunities to get involved, visit the People To People website http://www.peopletopeopleinc.org/index.php/programs/project-joy/ Here are a few quotes on the gift of giving:
“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
―
Mother Teresa

“For it is in giving that we receive.”
―
St. Francis of Assisi
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
―
Winston Churchill
