Beyond Recycling In Nyack

We have a great recycling program here in Rockland County. But there are items that the recycling companies won't pick up and the question of "how do I responsibly recycle these items?" often goes unanswered. For instance, there are millions of printer ink and toner cartridges sold in the US annually. About half of these end up in the land fills because people don't know where to drop them off.

I found a great website today that will help you know where to take things that our recycling program will not accept. Check out https://earth911.com for information on recycling, the most environmentally friendly products, and other "green" information.  They also have information on the "greenest" products, simple changes to make your home "plastic-free," replacing single-use straws, etc. It really is a very useful website.

Here's to doing our part!
