Even with taxes being a bit on the higher side in parts of Rockland County, especially in beautiful, desirable Montebello, NY, it hasn’t kept one family from setting up residence in the provincial village.  Bears, you say?  Yes, Bears!  A Young family of four black bears, including Mama Bear and her three cubs, have been sighted wandering the parks and neighborhoods in the Town of Ramapo for the last few weeks.  In this short video provided to LoHud by the Ramapo Police, you will see the family frolicking about in someone’s backyard!  http://www.lohud.com/story/news/local/westchester/2015/04/26/black-bear-sighting-close-monsey-park/26423007/#

Here, you will also read about bear safety!  Yes, they may appear to be cute, little, furry bears on the outside, playing together and romping around the woods, but don’t be deceived.  They are extremely dangerous animals, especially if someone gets too close to the cubbies….Mama Bear will be on the scene and THEM in no time!

So if you’re out and about in the parks and neighborhoods of Ramapo this weekend, beware of Bears!
