Arts Rock is a local treasure!  It  provides increased  access to professional arts and multi-cultural programs for underserved and diverse audiences around Rockland County, according to their mission statement.

I'm on their email list and just received the events for their fall line up that I'd like to share with you.

A Dragon's Tale is being presented on Nov. 15 at the Nyack BOCES Ritterhausen Theater the old Nyack High School). It's being presented by Nai-Ni, a cross cultural  contemporary dance company. Tickets can be bought by calling 866-811-4111.

Other events in the fall line up are, a concert by the Principal Brass of the NY Philharmonic on Fri. Dec. 2 at the First Reformed Church in Nyack, a concert by Eileen Ivers, the pre-eminent Irish fiddler, at Pearl River HS on Sunday Dec. 4, and Jeffrey Freidberg and the Bossy Frog Band will hold their annual musical extravaganza on Thurs. Dec. 29 at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern.

Grammy award winner Suzanne Vega will be preforming at the Rockland Community College Cultural Arts Theater in Suffern on Fri. Feb. 3, 2012.

To get more information on these exciting events you can email the Friends of the Nyack, as Arts Rocks is an affiliate, or you can go to the Arts Rock website.
