Anthony Ds in Sparkill

Another Friday nite and need a suggestion for dinner? Why not check out Anthony Ds located at 500 Rte 340 in Sparkill, just down the hill from Rte 9W near the Sparkill Bridge. Their soft opening is going on now! They are in the building formerly occupied by Coppola's Restaurant and prior to that it was Tony's Lobster House. My favorite dining area is the bar which is long and sleek. The bar area also has small tables and French doors leading out to the terrace...quiet and intimate. There is also a large dining room and second floor for parties and special events. And for once my bar bill doesn't exceed the food portion since wines by the glass are only $5! I haven't sampled any of the main dishes...although from what I have seen...they all look quite delectable! But I can vouch for the appetizers: shrimp cocktail, crabcake on a bed of greens, grilled Portobello mushrooms and light and tasty calamari. The wait staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and professional...especially the two bartenders: Neil and Edwin...and the manager, Iggy, is a delight! So...what are you waiting for?
