will be holding their annual Bastille Day Celebration on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 from 12:00 noon until 10:00 pm. Piermont
Avenue will be open for pedestrian traffic only during this event. Enjoy the French experience along the Hudson River and celebrate the French contribution to American Independence.
Villagers will be walking around in period dress with French and Continental Army re-enactors also marching and shooting their muskets. The public is invited to come dressed in French or American period costume (or any costume that you so desire).
Live Bands will be performing, there will be mimes and jugglers, and even a bouncy house for children. The finest restaurants in Piermont
will be serving French, Italian, Mexican, Irish, Continental, and American cuisine and will extend their tables onto the sidewalk and Piermont
Avenue for outside dining. I had dinner at a table on the street last year, ate French food, and listened to the live music playing, so much fun,
Come on down and rediscover Piermont
on July 9th for the Bastille Day celebration.
