Last night I got together with a group of friends and headed up Main St in Nyack, passing through the gateway to the Village to Alains Restaurant. Housed in a non descript strip mall is an absolutely fabulous restaurant. Once inside you are enveloped by soft lighting and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We had made reservations and were seated on time at a cozy table. The service was great. The waiter had that rare combination of humor and professionalism. The food was excellent. My salad was crisp and interesting. The steak was prepared just right and paired with a great wine. The dessert was a decadent chocolate cake coupled with strawberries and ice cream- very calorie worthy! We will definitely be back.I am looking forward to trying Alains Express;a take away lunch place located in the heart of Nyack on Main St.
