Save the day- Sunday, September 8th, 2013, 5:00 pm for a most beautiful concert in memory of the victims and heroes of September 11th.  The performance will be at the Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Avenue, Nyack, New York, 10960.

The 12th Annual Concert for Remembrance is sponsored by The Welles Remy CharitableTrust, Grace Episcopal Church and the musicians of the American Ballet Theatre, Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, New York Philharmonic, North Jersey Symphony, Albany Symphony, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Stamford Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic and the Rockland Symphony. The program is simply gorgeous. For the healing of your heart and soul and for the sense of peace and love and light which you will undoubtedly experience at Grace Church for this performance, I urge you to attend.  The music and the playing will gently sweep you off your feet and send you to another place and time. Really. There will be; the World Premier of- Resolution, composed especially for this concert by Jeremy Wall (1952) With Jeremy Wall playing the piano and Holly Druckman conducting the Orchestra. Then will be played Sonata No. 1 composed by Jean-Marie Leclair-(1697-1764) arranged by Edward Simons-with Heather Vogel Alison Crowther and Edward Simons all on Violin, A wonderful trio. The second part of the program will be; Prelude from Suite Antique, composed by John Rutter (1945), with Jacquelyn Drechsler playing the flute and Jeremy Wall on piano. Then will be Reverie by Elie Siegmeister (1909- 1991). The final piece in the program will be the Piano Concerto No. 23, K 48 composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756- 17910) with Jeremy Wall playing the piano and Edward Simons conducting the Orchestra. All of the musicians are so incredibly generous with their time, their talent and their dedication to this way of honoring both the victims and the heroes of that most tragic day. I hope many of you will be able to come to this time-honored event. It is free, but a donation is never turned away and the sales of CD's from previous concerts goes right back into the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust which enables the Trust to continue their Good Works in this community as well as others.
