Thanks to the good weather this year, many snowbirds are returning to the north earlier to golf.  I may consider mself a beginning snowbird, and have discovered, upon my return, the golf in Rockland County has been just as great, if not better than the South.

Life is always better when you are golfing, so my first stop was at Rockland State Golf Course in Congers New York. Here, I found the employees to go out of their way and to be friendly.

With the faltering ecomomy, I found the State of New York had lowered its fees for seniors and others, to make it more accomodating. I also found out the State of New York has allotted more money to upgrade and make improvements to the course, and I must admit, it was in great shape.

This New York State golf course in Congers has an 18 hole championship golf course, and an 18 hole par 3 executive golf couirse.  Amenities included at the course are improved clubhouse, driving range, clinics, lessons, putting greens, pro shop, snack bar, and they also host outings.

I would highly recommend contacting Mark, the Head Pro, for further information.
