Winter 2020-2021 may be colder and wetter in Nyack.

New York should see colder-than-average temperatures with increased precipitation. “ With La Nina well established and expected to persist through the upcoming 2020 winter season, we anticipate the typical, cooler, wetter North ,and warmer, drier South, as the most likely outcome of winter weather that the U.S. will experience this year,” said Mike Halpert, deputy director of NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center.

Of course all predictions are just that, an educated guess. In reality ,you need to wake up in the morning and see what Mother Nature has in store for you today!

January 22, 2016 saw Winter Storm Jonas dump a record 27 inches of snow on our lovely village of Nyack, let’s hope we don’t break that record.Image title
