Home sales across our MLS increased by 12.5% in 2016. Home sales went up by 2,019 units to 18,145 closings in 2016. Rockland County sales specifically grew 12.3% in 2016 over the previous year. This is good news for buyers and sellers alike. When looking at the data it seems like there is a strong demand for homes in the area and as long as new listings keep hitting the market, we'll be in good shape. Home prices seem to be raising as well, due to strong demand a lack of inventory.
So if you're thinking of selling your home, now is as good a time as any!
