From Piermont to Stony Point, Foreclosure Process being Revamped!

A meaningful article in The New York Times today by Davide Streitfeld: If you, or a family member, or a friend have been involved in a foreclosure over the last two years please read this carefully. Homeowners all over Rockland County, New York in the areas of Orangetown, Clarkstown, Ramapo, Stony Point, and Haverstraw are all affected by this impending change. This article indicates that some loan servicing companies violated state and local laws and regulations governing foreclosures. Most important is that mortgage loan servicers will have to end their practice of foreclosing on borrowers while borrowers are pursuing loan modifications that might allow them to stay in their homes. A great read and good news!
