Well the two year Nyack Street Improvement plan was finally completed this past Friday. Red crosswalks were laid on Main Street between Broadway and Franklin. These crosswalks are created by a company in New Egypt, NJ. The company used an infrared light to heat the asphalt and give it the brick red color.  They then press an overlay into the warm asphalt to make it look like bricks.  There have been a lot of mixed emotions about the improvements starting with the loss of parking spaces, but I have to admit that I do like the crosswalks and the new benches.
