Have you heard of the Soup Angels?
"Soup Angels' mission is to provide a free, nutritious homemade supper to anyone who needs a meal, no questions asked." Earlier this month I had the pleasure of once again joining my team on the Soup Angels to prepare a meal for our guests at the First Reformed Church of Nyack. It's a great organization (with no religious affiliation) and has been serving the people in need for over 10 years. Guests include people from all sorts of backgrounds with ages ranging from children to seniors. And unlike many other organizations of this nature, all meals are prepared by professional chefs (who volunteer their time) and guests are treated to a wonderful sit-down dining experience complete with candles and table service. On average, we serve 70 guests a night. All food is paid for through donations and all help is volunteered. It truly is an amazing organization and I am so proud to be a part of it!
Soup Angels serves food on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm.
