We lost a piece of Nyack recently with the passing of Vic Overton, the DPW head of operations. I have known Vic since he began working for the Village of Nyack 20 years ago. I had the great pleasure of working with Vic when I served as Mayor of Nyack. He always had a wonderful attitude about life and had a great sense of humor. He made my job easy never complaining about long hours or any task we asked him to perform  After l left office Vic continued to be more than just head of the DPW. He was a friend  and fellow Nyacker. If they need someone to maintain order in the next world I would surely nominate Vic for the position. He will be greatly missed.
