Yesterday at the Nyack Street Fair, the Nyack High School Jazz Band performed to a very enthusiastic crowd of music lovers. You couldn't help but  stop and listen as they played familiar classics with enthusiasm and ease. People were passing by, some stayed for a long time, but all agreed that they provided great energy and hand clapping rhythm to anyone who stopped to watch. It was wonderful to see great talent and confidence coming from young people who clearly loved the entire scene. I hope that they'll play at future venues, perhaps this summer at the Hopper House, or Memorial Park. I'll know that I'd be there. Don't miss them if you are a fan of good music.
