Tappan Cyclist Goes Wireless

What's that saying about old dogs?  Well, I learned how to sit up and beg a while ago, and now I have a new toy for my bike: the MapMyRide app for my Droid.  I've had a speedometer for some time now, but it's not all that accurate, and it's also somewhat difficult to read and set (at least for me.)  This app is just great.  It gives the speed, and just about everything else you would want to know: the route, distance, duration etc.  I cycled down to the local bike shop in Piermont, and got a holder for my phone, which was installed gratis (plus a tip.)  Also on my phone: the Ski Tracks app, which essentially does the same thing when you're on the slopes.
