How To Say NO To United Waters Surcharge

If you are against United Water’s highly controversial proposed desalination plant, there are still opportunities for you to voice your opinions.   Tonight, at Orangetown's Town Hall at 7 PM, you will have a very important opportunity to express your concerns, outrage, fears, and antipathy for this unnecessary endeavor that will essentially end up costing much more that initially expected.  The purpose of tonight’s meeting is to express to the State’s Public Service Commission that local taxpayers should not be expected to pay for United Water’s current expenditures which they unnecessarily incurred.  In other words, they overspent already and they want us to cover their “you know whats”!  If you feel passionate about this topic, please try to make this meeting.  After this opportunity to speak out, you can still let your local representatives know how you feel.  Please make the time to place those phone calls and sign a petition to Gov. Cuomo.  Visit http://www.sustainablerockland.org/ for more information.  Also, check out this link to the flier for tonight’s meeting with full explanation:   http://www.sustainablerockland.org/wp-content/uploads/Rock-Water-flier-ad-05.14.14-7x8.pdf   Location of Town Hall 26 W.
